LessonPorch is free. It sells nothing and takes no payment, so there is nothing to refund or cancel.
General information, not legal or professional advice
The guides give general information about teaching at home, drawn from named sources. They are not legal or professional advice. Homeschool rules are set by each state and change, so before you act on a guide that names a state’s rules, check your state’s own page, which the guide links. For a question about your own family’s situation, ask your state’s education department or a lawyer where you live. Children and families differ, so treat a guide as a starting point, not a plan made for your child.
Mistakes
We check every guide against its sources before it goes up, and we can still get something wrong. If you find a mistake, write to hello@lessonporch.com and we will correct the guide and note the change.
No guarantee
LessonPorch is offered “as is” and “as available”. We make no guarantee of any kind: not that a guide is complete, current or right for your family, and not that the site will always be up or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on it. Some places don’t allow these limits, and there they apply only as far as the law there lets them.
What you may reuse
The words and pictures on LessonPorch are ours unless a page names another owner. You may quote a short part, or share a page’s link anywhere, as long as you link back to the page. Please don’t copy a whole guide or republish it as your own.
Links to other sites
Guides link to their sources so you can check them yourself. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for what they say or do. Naming a curriculum, a publisher or a product is not an endorsement.
New guides by email
The email list is free and is for adults, and you can leave it at any time with the link in every email. We may stop sending it; if we do, we delete the list. The privacy page says what we keep.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
